Outlaw X6 - 62CIHW (watermelon plus)

The Pilla 62CIW (Watermelon) is a technological highlight in the Pilla range. The name "Watermelon" refers to the special filter characteristics, which – much like the fruit – play with the contrasts of red/pink and green. With 62% visible light transmission (VLT), this lens offers perfect performance in medium light and variable conditions.

The "Watermelon" technology is specifically designed to dramatically enhance orange targets while drastically reducing the green of the background (trees, grass, bushes). Integrated infrared technology also filters out distracting infrared waves, resulting in a smoother image and less eye strain.

Watermelon effect

A special color mix that makes orange and pink tones "explode".

IPSC Front-Sight Boost

Makes red and orange fiberglass sights extremely bright – for significantly faster sight acquisition and firing.

All-round light value

The ideal choice for changing weather conditions, from cloudy skies to diffuse light on the shooting range.

Green suppression

It massively dampens green backgrounds (trees, grass, walls) to perfectly isolate the target (glass or cardboard).

Precise target acquisition

Provides immediate depth perception of the throwing disc and its trajectory and maximizes contrast on brown IPSC targets.

Chromashift dynamics

It allows the eye to adapt instantly during rapid changes of focus between bright and shaded areas.

C - Chromashift

Chromashift technology is an integral part of most of our current lenses and is combined with other filtration processes. Chromashift is an advanced lens technology that deliberately manipulates the visual representation of color to create a more intense color profile and "shift" the actual color perception of the intended target. By using special dyes, faster registration of certain color bands is achieved. In addition, Chromashift can change the way the eye perceives color.

The fundamental technical advantage of Chromashift is the targeted color manipulation that enables precise visual registration. Athletes can therefore benefit from this competitive advantage by using color shifting to gain a specific technical advantage.

ED - Enhanced Definition

Enhanced Definition lenses are the result of a special filtering process in which our engineers have optimized the entire color spectrum to create a balanced color profile. The goal of this lens technology is to provide athletes with crystal clear definition. By applying a universal color lift, the eye is presented with a balanced color saturation that enables high-resolution imaging. This combination of color resolution and color saturation gives the athlete an improved definition of the visual image. "Everything you see appears more vivid."

For athletes seeking an intense color profile with a natural rendering of their visual environment, Enhanced Definition lenses are the perfect range of lenses.

HC - High Contrast

High Contrast lenses feature an accelerated filter curve that creates a high level of saturation, clearly defining the edges of the target object. We improve both the high and low values of color resolution, increasing the lens' ability to specify different parts of the visual light spectrum. This unique visual presentation of the High Contrast lens series places greater emphasis on dark areas while simultaneously highlighting the bright elements of the visual image. The resulting dual nature, in which dark areas are darker and bright areas are brighter, results in a clear contrast registration in the image.

This lens family offers exceptional depth of field, especially for target shooting.

MX - Max Orange

Max Orange is a family of lenses specifically designed to provide the athlete with up to 600% increased perception in the orange part of the visual spectrum. This is especially critical for clay pigeon shooters who require maximum emphasis on orange for precise target acquisition. The Max Orange family of lenses specifically focuses on this area of the visual spectrum and accelerates the eyes' acquisition of orange. This allows the athlete to see the target quickly and accurately while maintaining depth of field.

N - Neutralizer

The Neutralizer lenses utilize advanced lens science that compresses colors while retaining vivid detail in certain parts of the visual spectrum. The "N" family of lenses is specifically designed to neutralize the perception of green. This family of lenses is particularly suited to athletes who need to minimize visual registration against a green background.

I - Infra Red

This technology provides extremely vibrant color enhancement thanks to new color pigments and an innovative coating technology. While the lenses produce rich color enhancement, the coating technology ensures a precise level of color enhancement and target registration for optimal performance. We've taken some of our best lens filters from the last 10 years and integrated them into these platforms. The result is outstanding performance that delivers extremely sharp sight images.

This new collection offers light transmission from full sun to low light.

ICE Technology

Lenses with our multi-layer ICE coating benefit from principles that take the best of hydrophobicity and a proprietary hydrophilic technology on the back of the lens, while complementing our infrared "IR" filters for color enhancement. The ICE nomenclature represents a technology that makes the surfaces of the lenses extremely slippery. This prevents water from sticking to the surface, reducing the formation of fog on the back.

Pilla ICE coatings also offer color-enhancing properties based on Chromashift and "Infra Red" lens technology, making the color filters more robust.
